Casey Smallwood


Over his career, Casey has gained a vast knowledge of retail tenant representation and site selection. He has worked successfully with clients on site selection requirements in Kentucky, Indiana, Tennessee, North Carolina, and South Carolina. A few of Casey’s clients include: AT&T, Carvana, Bluegrass Hospitality Group, Fresenius Kidney Care, Drake’s, Jiffy Lube, Wendy’s, Pizza Hut, NAPA Auto Parts, Penn Station, Zips Express Car Wash, and Guggenheim Partners.

Prior to working in commercial real estate, Casey boasted a 13-year career as a basketball coach spanning the high school and college levels. He was on staff at Oak Hill Academy, a nine-time national champion, as well as Lees-McRae College in North Carolina and Christian Academy of Louisville. He was honored to serve as the head coach of multiple successful programs. Through coaching, Casey learned the key to success is in daily hard work and persistence.

Casey is a native of Louisville, Kentucky and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from the University of Louisville. He currently serves as the Kentucky State Director for International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) since 2021. He has also served as the co-chair of the Tennessee/Kentucky Idea Exchange since 2017, the State Chair for Kentucky NextGen, and as a planning committee member for the Southeast Conference and Dealmaking.
